Chrysalis Undergraduate Club

Open to all Ohio State undergraduates: Chrysalis, the entomology student club.

All Entomology Undergraduates are encouraged to join Chrysalis.

Members build networks with faculty and graduate students and potential employers. Chrysalis provides opportunities to discuss careers and research with scientists from the Ohio State campus and beyond. Chrysalis members also participate in service and outreach activities at public events.Chrysalis Collecting Trip, AU22, photo#2

Club activities may include field trips to collect insects for research, and to zoos and museums, or movie night, trivia, community service, presentations on graduate research,  cooking with insects and more.

Chrysalis Highlights - Autumn 2025

Contributed by Elliott Ross, Chrysalis President
The undergraduate entomology club, Chrysalis, welcomed Bella Shorr as treasurer for the 2025-2026 academic year, as well as Cecil Engelhardt as an assistant coordinator and graphic designer. We've hosted several meetings, including Halloween movie nights, trivia, and coordinated an excursion to present the Entomology department to students in Springfield through a trunk-or-treat. We've had a lot of fun, and we're looking forward to the next semester ahead!
