Bites happen. The Bite Site helps you understand what may have bitten you, how to lower your risk and when to take the next step.
Created with Ohio State and public health experts, this guide shares practical information about ticks, mosquitoes, bed bugs and other biting pests in Ohio. Use the Bite Site to learn how to identify common biting arthropods, prevent bites, protect people and animals, and find trusted resources when you have concerns.
The revised Bite Site was developed with experts from Ohio State Extension, the Department of Entomology, the School of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Ohio State Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine as a guide to ticks, mosquitoes and other biting pests.
