After that, he worked with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services on biological control of invasive plants. He also has experience working with biological control of invasive insects. His research interests include insect responses to environmental changes, ecology and management of invasive species, and forest insect management and conservation. Current research focuses on optimization of trap deployment for the detection of non-native bark and ambrosia beetles.
