Hannah is interested in investigating the influence of urban greening and public policy on mosquito abundance and West Nile virus prevalence. Hannah graduated from OSU with a B.S. in Biology with an entomology minor in 2021 and served in The Ohio Army National Guard from 2017 - 2023. Working as a research tech with Dr. Meuti in 2021-2023, Hannah studied the seasonal characteristics of overwintering Anopheles mosquitoes in central Ohio, assisted in graduate student research projects and cared for the lab’s Culex pipiens colony. Outside the lab Hannah worked for Franklin County Public Health to assist with mosquito and West Nile virus surveillance. Hannah is passionate about improving the health of communities that suffer from vector-borne disease. Hannah also enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and making ceramic pottery.
