She is most interested in insect pest management for urban tree plantings, sparked by her experience working as a research technician at a tree research laboratory. Amber joined the LEAFE Lab in 2023 and studies the biological control of crapemyrtle bark scale, a common landscape pest in the southeast. When not in the lab, Amber enjoys hiking and playing her cello.
