Entomology’s Grad Student Association honored with two CFAES awards!

April 17, 2023

EGSA received both of the CFAES Student Organization Awards for which they applied: The Community Engagement Award, and the Outstanding New Activity AwardThe Community Engagement award highlighted work by our graduate students to connect with the public around such opportunities as the COSI Annual Science Festival, the new Bugmobile, and the United Titanium Bug Zoo.  The Outstanding New Activity award application focused on the Halloween Open House in Wooster last October, but also outlined a variety of other new engagement opportunities that our graduate student community has initiated. EGSA’s current president Erick Martinez Rodriguez states “On behalf of EGSA we are grateful that our efforts are recognized, and we want to thank you very much for your support throughout the whole year. Hopefully many more accomplishments will come.”

The Student Organization awards were presented at the CFAES Olympics Award Ceremony on Friday, April 14, 2023.
