Before your visit to the United Titanium Bug Zoo, you'll find hours, parking, accessibility information and tips below to help your group feel comfortable before you arrive.

Hours

Self-guided visits are available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. when the Wooster Science Building is open.

The Bug Zoo is located in the Wooster Science Building on the CFAES Wooster campus.

We want your visit to work for your group

The Bug Zoo is accessible from the main entrance of the Wooster Science Building. If you have questions about accessibility, mobility needs, sensory needs or other visit considerations, please contact us before you arrive. We will do our best to help you plan a comfortable and memorable visit.

A self-guided tour at your own pace

Walk-in visits are self-guided. You can explore displays, activities and information throughout the Bug Zoo at your own pace.

Live insects are not available for handling during regular walk-in visits. Hands-on insect experiences are offered during scheduled programs, open houses and special events.

Helpful expectations:

  • Plan time to explore displays and activities.
  • Bug Zoo staff may not always be available during self-guided visits.
  • Hands-on encounters happen during scheduled programs and events.
  • Children and youth groups should be supervised by an adult.
  • Photos are welcome unless otherwise noted on site.

Not sure how you feel about bugs?

That’s okay. You do not have to touch or hold an insect to enjoy the Bug Zoo. Visitors are welcome to look closely, ask questions and learn at their own comfort level.

Want a guided tour or hands-on experience?

For hands-on insect encounters, school field trips, scout programs, private tours, adult group visits or virtual programs, please schedule a program in advance by emailing utbz@osu.edu. We’ll help you choose the best option for your group.
