EGSA at the Chadwick Spring Plant Sale and Auction Fundraiser

Our Entomology Graduate Student Association (EGSA) will be a vendor at the Chadwick Spring Plant Sale and Auction Fundraiser on May 8-10, 2025!

EGSA will be selling Pinguicula species (carnivorous plants, see attached photos), a variety of native plants, as well as EGSA merchandise. Featuring many different varieties of Pinguicula, including Pinguicula agnata, Pinguicula laueana, Pinguicula cyclosecta, and more.

EGSA partnered with Ainsworth Circle Native Plant Nursery, a grower licensed as a Small-Scale Nursery Grower and Registered Nursery Dealer in Michigan owned by a recent OSU SENR alumnus! Frst and second-year plugs of wildflowers and grasses native to Ohio and the greater Great Lakes/Midwest region will be offered. These plants have been grown from seed harvested from remnant sites and restoration plantings with landowner permission in Southern Michigan. Over 16 species will be available (including Foxglove Beardtongue, Sand Coreopsis, New England Aster, Prairie Dock, Marsh Blazing Star, and more).

EGSA will have Pinguicula care sheets, as well as displays and handouts describing how native plants in residential settings improve carbon sequestration, reduce water and fertilizer usage and runoff, provide habitat for wildlife including birds and other pollinators, and create aesthetically beautiful displays.

All EGSA merch profits will go towards EGSA and 10% of profits from the plant sales will go towards EGSA!
