Other information:
Ph.D. 1972 University of Wisconsin, Madison.  Research Entomologist, USDA/ARS 1969-2004
My research concentrates on biological suppression of the Japanese beetle and other horticultural insect pests. Efforts are continuing to improve traps and lures for the Japanese beetle and other scarab beetles throughout the world. Another focus of my present research is the development of parasitoids and the entomopathogenic nematode/bacteria complex for control of insects and diseases in turf and nursery environments.  I have a strong interest in international activities and am presently involved with the IPM project in the Azores, and with scarab problems in Ecuador, Midway Atoll, Guam, New Zealand, Hungary, Moldova, China, and Japan.
