Religion and Science

One of the intervention strategies we developed to change the thinking of undergraduate nonmajors about evolution is to sponsor panel discussions about the religion and science.  In the past five years, we have brought eminent speakers to Columbus to make the case that accepting evolution does not necessarily mean rejecting religion. Speakers have included Francis Collins, Francisco Ayala, Joan Roughgarden, Jack Haught, Ed Larson, Federal Judge John Jones and numerous others. Now supported by a grant from the Templeton Foundation, we continue to offer these discussions in collaboration with WOSU-Public Media and the Center for Science and Industry.  We now invite the general public to participate in these annual events.
