On December 26, 2004, Denlinger, postdocs Joe Rinehart and Scott Hayward, Miami University Professor Rick Lee, and a Dayton high school teacher Luke Sandro depart for Palmer Station, Antarctica, where they will be examining physiological adaptations that enable a midge, Belgica antarctica, to survive in this harsh environment.
